Customize SOLIDWORKS "Interference Check Software"
We introduce a case of developing "interference check software" to prevent collisions between treatment devices and the human body at the Kyoto University Hospital Department of Radiation Oncology.
Radiation therapy for cancer continues to see technological innovations. The Department of Radiation Oncology at Kyoto University Hospital has introduced the state-of-the-art radiation therapy device Vero4DRT. Vero4DRT is the only device in the world that has two rotational axes to change the direction of radiation delivery. In clinical settings, it has become urgent to establish a system that can accurately grasp and prevent interference between the dynamically moving radiation therapy device and the human body, allowing for efficient treatment planning. The Department of Radiation Oncology at the university has successfully built and operated "interference check software" customized from SOLIDWORKS. We will introduce this "interference check software." - Professor Naoshi Mizowaki, Department of Radiation Oncology, Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University - Associate Professor Mitsuhiro Nakamura, Department of Human Health Sciences, Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University *For more details about the case, please refer to the PDF materials.
